Rear Shock Mount Good Info

I just got my Rear OEM shock mounts from TMS (99.00 great deal) I swaped out my old ones today (No need to remove the tires at all. Below you will see the OEM shock mount and the new Aluminum mount, I was so surprised at the Bushing on the OEM mount one word it SUCKS!!!!!!! Check out the pic and see the BIG difference between the two mounts.

If you ever wanted to know what your Rear Shock mounts look like look here, the bushing is VERY THIN so if you think you should upgrade your mounts I will let the pics speak for themselves.

I felt a difference quickly, especially over bumps. Install is easy I removed all of my rear carpet to get to the mounts, and again NO NEED to remove the rear wheels.

Here is my OEM bushing look at the top VERY THIN Bushing.

Here is the New bushings look how thick and tall they are.

What's the link to the TMS site to buy those?

You said you noticed a difference... were your old ones bad and in need of replacing?
Or are the TMS ones so much better that you can notice a difference even when compared to new OEM ones?

Kewl...

I'm going to upgrade my RSM with the OEM M3 ones. I wonder how they compare with the TMS ones. I have the OEM ones in a box in the basement. I'll take some pics this weekend.

Hey Steve, buddy Well As far as the Mounts breaking that is a New one for me i will keep you posted and will also keep TMS posted if this happen my man Doug is my POC there is will be informed of this if they break. I also bought an extra set of busing for I believe 15 bucks or so.

TMS SITE

Steve as far as the DIY and difference, i notice it when going over bumps for sure the DIY is really to easy, and the Box comes with instructions (You really don't need) the hardest part is taking the Carpet out the trunk (Wish i had a REAR Strut bar...

I replaced my Old ones cause I felt the BUMPS TO MUCH, and I also heard these were better so i went for it. Anyone else who has replaced there will tell you, its a easy switch. Steve you get a set and I will fly up and do it in about 30 minutes.

with rsm's it is VERY important that they are torqued to the right specs.... a loose rsm is far worse than the cheap flimsy oem ones

Turner actually told that person that they will fix it no charge and they even suggested he might not even have the TMS mounts in the first place. Ive heard that they are great considering I live only 15 minutes away from them

I've had my JTD RSMs for quite some time now (same thing that TMS sells) and they've seen the track quite a bit and no worries here

Sweet, maybe I'll get a set before you come back this Summer and you can help me put 'em

So, are bumps quiter now? I figured it would stiffen things up more?
