FS: E46 3.46 LSD w/ Finned Cover

Up for sale is a slightly used 3.46 LSD made by Jim Blanton specifically for our application.

Why buy this LSD?

• Performance. If you do not already know the performance benefits of adding a LSD to your E46, please continue to another thread.
• Quality. This is hands down the best race differential available on the market made by a leader in the industry. Do some research and see who builds the diffs for the Grand AM cars and a lot of the Quaife units you see for sale.
• Simple bolt in. This LS unit comes with an OEM carrier and allows ease of install.

Specs:

• Full unit has less than 10k miles on it. Oil was changed almost every other week (after every race weekend).
• Final drive ratio is 3.46
• LS unit was made to order with 3 plate ramping and static lockup- 40% static.
• Finned differential cover. We did not acquire actual testing data regarding temperature decrease from this piece, but a difference can be noted in quality when swapping the diff. oil.
• To give buyer peace of mind, I will ship this unit back to Perf. Gearing for full inspection. It will then be drop shipped to the buyer in essentially NEW condition. The diff is currently in FL but will be shipped from MO.

This LSD w/ finned cover will run you at least 3400.

Asking 2500.00 (includes shipping to MO and service (value of over 600); buyer responsible for shipping from MO to their location)

Willing to ship to the lower 48 US States.

The high cost is because it comes as a bolt on diff w/the 100 finned cover, right? I thought that these went for $3100 new w/cover no?

How much/what type of racing was put on it? I want this BAD, but would need greater cost savings for a used/raced LSD.

hmm.. the answers to the questions were posted. Approx. 10k miles on this diff. This came off a street/track vehicle and was maintained. The diff would be essentially new when received though it stills has huge life still left as it sits. I would prefer for the diff to be inspected so that there is no issues with the transaction.

I am open to reasonable offers as we have moved focus to some other projects.

I need to be more specific. Roughly how many miles and or hours were spent on the track? Was it campaigned in road racing or autocross? Did you use an active cooler on it? What are the ramp angles set at?

^Its all good Yeah that thing sold like a hot cake after everyone realized they are no longer available. I can help you source most the stuff or have my guys make it if you are set on going that route and have no options. I am being lazy but will be posting another batch of stuff we have laying around so maybe I can help you out with something else. ie. Defi gauges, wheels, tires, etc

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with a local buddy who is supposed to send payment shortly.
