do any of you get that annoying clicking when shifting? Is there a way to resolve that??? thanks

i get a little clicking when shifting sometimes and my tranny is stock (no SSK)... i would also like to know the cause of this

That generally comes from metal to metal. You can just go back to the stock shifter.

Yes, even with the SSK from AutoSolutions -- less play, shorter shift throw. I thought this was the norm.

My Ride: 2003 BMW 330i
My UUC Evo III is notchy, as in there is a very defined space for the shifter to be in for each gear. But there is no play at all (installed DSSR as well). The Evo III+DSSR+RK6L knob are BY FAR the best set of mods I've done to my car. Since it is something you interact with everytime you get in the car, it is a much more useful mod than many other things out there.

JRob,

I have the Evo III also. I sometimes have a hard time hitting 3rd gear (hit 5th instead). Know anything about this?

OP....The clicking is generally thought of as feedback and is not considered a problem by most. Probably the only thing you can do to get rid of it is to go back to the "soft" stock shifter. Having experienced both on my car, I can say that if you are a "driver", you won't like the stock shifter after having the SSK on there.
