OEM HID Off/On Issue?

I have had this problem over the last few months but it seems to be getting worse recently. When I start my car (in the garage) and my lights turn on, usually only the passenger side light fires up and the warning light on my dash indicates that the drivers side light is out. When I start to drive, sometimes the drivers side turns on randomly after 10-15 minutes and the warning light turns off. Sometimes if I switch the light switch from "auto" to "on" that will cause the driver's side light to fire up. Sometimes if I turn on my fog lights that will also solve the problem. Something is not right, but I don't know where to begin.

I tried searching, but it seems like most of the issues here were related to modifications or retrofitting HID onto non-HID vehicles.

Any help would be appreciated.

It could be a bulb or ballast issue. Try swapping the bulb from the driver's side to the pass side and vice versa to see if the problem switches sides. If not, you may have a faulty ballast.
