My Ride: 330d
Greetings from Cape Town - 330d

Hi all,

Have a 2003 330d with a ECU remap and Bilstein B12 suspension. Am completely happy with this car, as I am with my 2000 M5 (Bilstein PSS, RE short-shift, RE intake temp. sensor relocation kit, CA Automotive remap and Tubi exhaust) and a 98 325tds.

I had a specific matter I wanted to investigate, thus my interest in this forum (the 330d not being available in the US means the coverage here is a little thin); am looking of another car for the family - two of my children have driving licences and I don't want them driving the M5 or 330d - and came across an E36 323i with an E46 323i engine and was looking for some background on this transplant. Saw the car yesterday; it hasn't been looked after and the owner is an ignorant thug so I dropped it. Oddly enough the engine replacement was occasioned not as a result of Nikasil damage but by a cracked head after a radiator hose burst.
