The shudder will go away in time I promise. You just need to get some more miles on that new clutch. Not sure about the odd noise though?

Thanks for the encouraging words! I really poked around while I was under the car replacing the transmission mounts. I thought it was a heat shield possibly, but it wasn't. I need to get my ZHP muffler installed to eliminate some resonating vibrations. Waiting to hear back from a fellow fanatic on installing it, otherwise I will need to find a shop....

Get under the car, support tranny with a floor jack, remove the 4 bolts for the crossmember, remove the two nuts for the tranny mount that pass thru the crossmember. Once the crossmember is out, remove the nuts from the top of the tranny mount. This takes all of 5-10 minutes. Installation is as simple, make sure you secure the tranny mount to the crossmember first, install crossmember, lower tranny onto mount, attach top bolt. It's imperative not to load the bushing before torquing it to 16ft lbs. 16ft lbs is not much more than hand tight. If you don't follow these simple guidelines, you have a good opportunity to introduce vibration.

I was wondering if this odd sound I have since the clutch install was related to the exhaust. What do you guys think of the looks of this soot on the exhaust, possible leak?

Just an FYI for the next person installing a TS2......do not tywrap back the cable for the intake side cam position sensor as I did in this photo. When your sensor fails, there will be no way to reach it to unplug it. Ask me how I know??!
![]() ![]() ![]() It's the item in the left of the photo with all the electrical tape wrapped around it

Fortunately I did not..........what a PITA though!
To top it off, I just finished putting everything back together, took it for a spin and the car was stumbling badly. I checked for a code and it's once again the intake side camshaft position sensor. I bought the sensor from BAV Auto......it was the obsolete PN, it also was a third of the price of what the dealer wanted for one. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be cheap! Can there possibly be another reason which is causing the sensor to fail??

ok, who is using the new pulley system? Does the belt come into contact with itself between the two pulleys?

I can't stand the clutch.......squeals like a pig constantly! Never the less......I love the TS2! I am reminded daily with my 530i how much torque the 330 has in comparison!
