That brick has got so much power that it keeps spinning the rear tires... almost scary!!! Needs really wide tires.

No pics of the engine though, is it really an M5 Turbo?

Those old 240 series Volvo's are cult classics... especially because you can get tons of power out of the stock Turbo motors. And if thats not enough you can put a Mustang 5.0 liter in there.

I'd love a a 240 Wagon with a 4.6liter V8 as a fun wagon to haul things in!!!

I laughed so hard when I saw this, that MF moves!. I cannot verify if the engine is in fact an M5, I just found it while browsing for bimmers on Youtube. Def cult classic.

Even Gran Turismo recognizes it as a Cult Classic as the 240 is a car that you can choose....

My first car was a 1989 740 GLE 16valve back in 1993... that car was a tank, but it was fun!!! Rice rockets couldn't touch it at stoplight races LOL, and E30 BMW's couldn't touch it on the freeways (but I am sure they would run circles on the twisties). But hey it was rwd too with an LSD & I was able to drift it on dry pavement with no problem. It was a classy ride at the time.

There's a 240 with a turbo Vette engine on you tube. Wonder if that's it.

Its not a M5 engine in this Volvo but a turboed 325i M50B25. Owner is from Sweden but have never dynoed the car but assume somewhere around 400-450 hp.

BMW motor swaps are popular in Scandinavia. Another Volvo, this one with a turboed M20B25: http://www.powerfulcars.net/video08-...mw-engine.html

As far as I know that's a 740 with a Corvette bi-turbo engine, called Volvette
