damn, im really diggin the looks of the magnifier and the aimpoint. **** looks awesome!

btw. is that an ar-15 modified to take 9mm bullets?

But in the pic above, if they knew so much they might want to start with back up iron sights and not using china made airsoft optics.

And Mega's are pretty low on the quality pole....I've owned probally 10 Mega's. 9 of which sucked. I kept the good one (wife's Pink AR).

Everything you see is customer requested. You must know some poor service men ( that or ones that don't use a weapon past basic). I know that any man worth his sh*t in the field knows his weapons. As for the Megas... different strokes for different folks. I've never owned one, but I will soon I've test fired several with hundreds of rounds down range with no cleaning.. just lubing and they work perfectly.

Yes, if you're talkin to me, this is a 9MM AR15.

RRA upper, and lower with RRA mag block, and a YHM 9MM XL suppressor. Best plinker evar.

You don't lube a lower ;-)

But yes, it's always a never ending debate. For me, as a builder, I notice very small inprofections which generally make building on them a major pain in the ass. I've had to drill out many a hole due to the thick teflon finish or many will not "drop free" a mag, they even get stuck in the mag well sometimes.

We were talking Mega parts in general as I said they build with mega uppers and lowers ;-)

As for the finish... Ad-tek and almost any "professional" builder I talk to still work ANY lower and upper they receive from whichever company to make sure the fit and functionality work correctly. I nor any gun nut I know believes factory parts are at their full potential until given a little TLC.

Well I digress, big ups for you on building your own.

Not much you can do if the lower doesn't drop free a mag.

Well, I did it...

a week from saturday I get to pick up my Stag lower receiver. I have, in my possession, the complete kit to build up the lower including a black Ergo Grip. I will be trying to track down a Magpul CTR stock as well once i get around to doing the build (probably next paycheck). I'm gettin' anxious!

I was originally going to go for the Bushmaster but those aren't legal in California and I hear they're not built to mil-spec which makes mix-matching parts. oh well. Stag will be fine.

Can someone briefly explain the differences of A1/A2/A3/A4?

It's basically just the style of receiver and a few subtle differences in grips and whatnot... the most noticeable would be attached carrying handle and rear sight vs removable carrying handle (flat-top receiver).

As of late....Stag > Bushmaster. Bushmaster's QC has been extremely poor lately.

Bushmaster was for awhile the ONLY one making as close to mil-spec parts as possible. You will have no problem using any of their parts. I recommend them highly.

There's a reason the Stag lowers are so cheap....and Bushmasters are 3x as much.

QC of Bushmaster down? Ehhhh....I've never had one Bushy part go bad. I've had plenty of out of spec Stag stuff.

just bought my Magpul CTR Stock with tube assembly and bullet button release. 9 more days till I can start to put stuff together! All I need to buy now is the upper assembly which will be a Stag Arms 2HT. Few more weeks!
