MP3 player with BMWPILA

I installed an IPOD with the BMWPILA adapter a while ago and have finally gotten around to posting pictures. The sound quality is awesome. Can't tell the difference between CDs and the IPOD. I attached it with velcro to my parking brake. I have an automatic so I never use the brake. Its a perfect place for it. If you have a manual you could use the velco to put it anywhere. I ran the cable under the seats so you can't see it. 30 gigs of music. This is the best mod you could do in my opinion

Nice! I installed mine like a week ago and the sound quality is good. Depends at what bitrate your mp3's are...most of mine are 320

What connection are you using to connect the RCA cables to the headphone plug in the IPOD? Brand and model?

Its a monster cable. Its a little to thick but it sounds great. The cable is where people make the mistake with this mod because the converters and ****ty cable can affect the sound

nice install but it looks like it would get in the way if you needed to grab the ebrake really quick

I hope you keep that out of sight when you're parked - don' t wanna give the thieves a reason to break-in.

yeaa, when i had an auto. i used to always use the E- Brake
up hill , down hill and not even a hill
it helps a ilttle from wat i understand. since when u put it in Park. the parking brakes are not as strong as the E brake and they put the weight on the transmition, so i used to put the E brake up either way

but nice install man, my second question is. which is kinda stupid but. where do u plug the the rca cable to? i know one part is the headphone jack but the other side the goes to the bmw, where ?
thanx

great job. If I can only find an A2B player that I can hook up to my ride, I'll be set.

When I had an auto I always used the e-brake when parking. I heard it saves wear on the car.

The RCA should plug into one end of the BMWPILA, which plugs into the CD-changer plug in the trunk.

Question What is BMWPILA

Please don't flame me,

I am interested in having an MP3 player too, is it and easy install where you plug a wire via an adapter to the cd changer plug in the trunk?

The hardest part must be to hide the cable?

For others who have questions check this out

That 7ft monster cable is not long enough! You need at least 8 feet
