Installing DRL in a Pre-facelift?
Is it possible to do this? I specifically want to do this to have Angel Eyes run as daytime running lights.
What's needed? Has anyone done this before? |

yes, you just go to the dealer and have them activate it.
however, i would not do that, then you will have the inner highs on when you drive around. just hook the angel eyes up how everyone does it (on all the time), and there you go. instant angel eye DRL.

You can also hook up your Angel Eyes to an ignition source so they automatically turn on when you start your car and go off when you turn it off. It al just depends on how you wire them up. Mine are tagged in with my corner markers/front turn signals, so they turn on when I turn on my park lights and they flash with the turn signals or the hazards. Like I said, just depends on how you wire them up.

yeah..why didn't you just wire it to the ecu as a trigger with the relay harness that should've came with the kit.. so they turn on when you turn on your car.. so right now your angels blink when you use your turn signals? just one side blinks at a time? so i'm assuming you used your turns as the power?

maybe he just likes it like that. if i was tapping the parking light wire, i would take the gray wire with the purple strip from the LCM

yeah but if he tapped the signals for power then they would flash one side at a time when he signals. if he tapped it as the trigger wire for the wiring harness then they would both flash when he signals.

yea, that's if he taps the corner lights. if he taps the wire i told him to, then there's no problem as that wire is for the parking lights for the rear lights (the ones that don't blink)
