Cutting Headrests for TV's

I was just curious how hard this is It doesn seem like it should be?..what kinda tools should you use and what not??? I got a quote for 300 each headrests thats more then the screen!.....some helpful tips would be great!

you can buy the whole headrest, some companies make them look so natural that you can't even tell.

yea but they are like 800 for a pair..i can get the screens for 150 each...its a big difrence

Is it a framed screen? If so, we can do them for $150 for the PAIR ($75 each). To do it properly, you have to take the covers off, mark out the hole, remove the correct depth of foam in the center of the headrest being sure to cut a hole out where you need to run the cable through the foam, put the cover back on, slit the leather, being sure not to cut straight into the corners (or you'll see the cuts), and secure the screen in place.

this is the screens that I was going to buy 5.6" 2 of them below it is the things I was gonna do if it was cheaper then putting them in the headrests so that everyone can see them...but i was seeing if I could do any of it myslef im not very comfortable doing the headrests as of now...just wanted to see how hard it was....

Ron, what do you mean by a framed screen? I'm into screens in the headrests, but looking to buy them in factory E46 headrests already!

Someone posted in another similiar thread you sell these for $800/pr? What screen size/make are in them for that price?!

nope sorry not my car but thats what i think I wanna do rather then headrests..cause i want one up front like urs too but not fiberglassed
