exhaust?

I just purchased a 03' 330xi... aka a newb to the E46. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a performance muffler or even a catback that I should look into?...

If you have anything you are looking to sell used. Im most likely interested.

PS. Is the TSE3 really that amazing?

I know that you really have to try soemthign out to see if you like it but... i thought maybe you could give me a heads up.

There are many different setups as you are starting to see. For performance you will get none out of a cat back. Headers are the only proven mod to do this. Also how loud would you like your car? The TSE3 is LOUD and with headers can wake the dead. I personally have no cat back just headers on a stock system and couldn't be more pleased with the sound. Its there only when I want it to be. Some remove resonators, some are cheapo's and weld glass packs in place of their stock muffler.

Magnaflo is a good cheap alternative. But in the manufactured cat back world I like the TSE3 light. Do a little more searching and also search on you tube many people post vids of their exhaust, however these really don't do any justice towards real life though.

Go to UUCs website. Right now they have some for 330/325 that have a dent in 1 resonator. Doesn't look like a big deal and they still give it full warranty. Price is a much easier $990 compared to $1295 or w/e. Thats what I'm looking at. Got to the site and go to the 'store front'. Click 'Parts for BMW'. Click 'Exhaust', and its at the top.

Yeah, I tried to copy and paste the link straight to the cheap one but when I did that and tried it, it just took me to the regular priced ones so it wasn't much help, thats why I tried to explain it. Hmmm... a built cat-back. That would be sick. Keep us updated on that.

Just finished my TES3 install. Pretty easy. I love the sound. Its loud but with windows up and just cruising, you can barely hear it. I got pulled over for 70 on a 45 right after I finished it too and the guy let me off! Ha!

Heres a short clip if anyone wants to see what it sounds like. My friend was revving it and was worried about hurting it. I kept telling him to kick it and eventually he hits it pretty hard. It sounds loud.

And good.
