Pioneer AVH-P7490DVD

I know many of the fanatics here have this model installed in their car. To those that do, how's the picture quality? And, where did you guys mount the center speaker that comes with the package?

Please state how much you paid for it as well. Product + installation. Thanks!!!

I have this unit...The picture quality is excellent.....Crisp Image, I have had people driving by me honking and giving me the thumbs up...I have also had my share of index finger too.....

Now as for the center speaker....I had mine installed in one of the cup holder in my center dash...BAD IDEA...It was great for 2 weeks until someone broke into my car and yanked the speaker out. ..The sound is great and all 2words SURROUND SOUND!!!!.........but first of all u lose a cupholder. Second, my installer placed some type of "gum" to keep the speaker in place and the crap kinda melted somehow so now I have black sh!t all over the place....The installer had said that he would place the speaker in the "mini glove compartment" above the ashtray but I'm not completely sold on it...

$$$ -- Well, I paided 2200.00 for the Unit, 12 Pioneer Cd changer, PS2 and Installation fee. I had it installed around early 02/03

Here are some pix

I know you can buy one NOT refurbished on ebay for about $1100. And I'm hoping installation won't cost too much. But that does look really nice. Can you change the colors to AMBER??? Cuz I have the Alpine 7998 installed in my car at the moment, and you can choose either GREEN or AMBER. I just want a bigger screen!!!
