Smile Tire Recommendation for 325xi Touring

I never knew buying tires could be so confusing. This is my first BMW, a
2005 325xIT with the sport package and it's a wonderful ride. It came with Continental ContiTouringContact tires that have 41,000 miles and are about ready for replacement. These tires have handled well although they are a bit hard in city driving. I could be happy with another set but I'm reading reviews on tirerack.com that aren't great. Any Michelin recommendations, the Pilot seems to be the model most used on BMW's? I've always liked them on previous cars. I live in DC so snow is not a big deal, but I like a solid grip in rain and a smooth ride. My driving is not all that sporty.

Top choices based on what you're looking for would be the Primacy MXV4 and Pilot Exalto A/S.

My Ride: has a D-Pillar
I've been rocking Goodyear Eagle F1s and I am VERY happy with them. Tons of grip, and very good in the snow and rain. Expensive...but the performance is unbeatable for an All Season...
