My Ride: 325xiT
Newbie seeking upgrade advise

Hi, I'm new to the forum though I've had my 325xiT for almost 7 years now. I been really happy with it and am sold on bimmers. I'm looking for some upgrades to improve its handling (wife's primary ride so it's all street use and toting the tykes around):

Brakes: I've read a little on this forum about brake upgrades but haven't seen anything solid about whether a 330 brake kit upgrade will give me any noticeable improvement? Also, what is the real benefit of stainless steel brake lines? The car's still got it's original rotors and it's got 100k on it so it's probably time for a change out.

Handling: Though the car handles well, I think the past seven years have made the suspension a little soft. Should I simply replace with original shocks / struts or is there something better that'll firm up the cornering and decrease understeer?

Gas Mileage: Any hypermilers out there than can offer up some non-intrusive techniques to gain a few more at the pump?

Thanks for all the help you can offer!

Brakes: You definitley need to change out your rotors if it's never been done with 100k on the car. SS brake lines help keep compression and improve stopping power, mainly for track usage.

Handling: Replace the shocks, control arms and control bushings. This will help dramatically with the ride quality. You could also get some sway bars to help with cornering.

MPG: Proper tire inflation, new spark plugs, filters and oil change.
