I got it from the hobby shop. it's the Testors Spray Lacquer: Transparent Black Window Tint. There were some other brands and styles there, like smoke, but I have no idea what it looks like. GL on doing yours!

nice diy. only thing is that its not a complete diy. all diy threads i see are a couple steps then links to another...maybe ill do my own when i get mine..

will these angel eyes work with the facelift styles with the rotating headlights? also, what do they plug into?

are there any specific angel eyes / halo rings to buy? which are best?

i'm leaning towards CCFL via umnitza... Jlevisw has an excellent grille for the facelift.

You can use Laminex or w.e to smoke your whole headlight, its a much cleaner look for the outside than spray tint.

i like the spray tint. i personally think the spray tint looks better, IF you can do it right.

I ordered CF wrap to do my eyelids and other misc parts on my car and accidentally received laminex smoke film.They told me to keep it and will ship the correct product today. I guess I'll have to try and see if I like smoked tails now...

follow this diy to bake the headlights to get to the corner pieces. Then smoke them with tint spray, and put it back

just one question: dont your headlights get fogged up now? I cant imagine heating them will do any good.

no, they only get fogged up if you don't seal them up correctly.
if you are referring to the temperature difference between inside the headlight and outside the headlight, then that is also a no. because all headlights are not completely sealed (whether by clips or glue). they have openings in the back to compensate for the differences in temp and pressure to have everything equalized.
