Spotted a pair of 7-series Protection
one current black, one e38 very dark blue at the airport yesterday. Pics soon...
They were pretty cool to spot, very subtle. The e38 had complete shadowline. The door glass was the giveaway, it's about 3cm blackened out around the top & sides. I guess they have a very beefy motor/regulator. Hmm, perhaps it's available as an upgrade  ?

i think hes talking about the 7 series protection edition. they had bulletproof windows and such...highly executive. im not sure though

Yes, the Protection line has Kevlar lined sheetmetal, bulletproof glass, sometimes armor plated flooring.
It can vary in degrees. The ones I saw had holes in the front fenders for diplomats/dignitaries flags, and serious looking bodyguards.
