330i vs BBK?

I want to upgrade my brakes and the 330 upgrade seems to be the most cost effective, but it brought up some questions:

1. Why is it that to ugrade the rear brakes to 330 spec one needs the rear trailing arms, drive axles, output shafts for the diff and the complete brake assemblies with dust shields etc, but for a Stoptech BBK, it just requires the included caliper and mounting bracket?

2. Why is so much more required for the 330 rear brake upgrade vs upgrading the fronts to the 330?

3. If I only upgrade the fronts on my 323i will that have a negative impact on braking with so much more clamping power up front?

My Ride: Honda Civic
I have a 325 and did a 330 upgrade in the front, and retained 325 in the rear with new pads, rotors and SSBLs

from what i have *heard*, the 323 rear brakes are tiny, and while it does require replacing that list of parts for a 330 upgrade to work in the rear, you could do 325 or 328 rear brakes, which are about an inch bigger, with only an upgraded caliper/rotor/pad.

that being said, i can't imagine the braking on the street being compromised running 330 front, 323 rear.

Ok. That sounds good. Then what I'll probably end up doing is the 330 up front and 325 in the rear.
