*** official soul food thread ***

in response to the redneck woman putting down obama thread, i decided to post this to present one of the many positives about the south

but really, i was hanging out with my new roomate that moved in at the beginning of the year, we were hanging out at our apartment talking about food and the topic came up of soul food, and him telling me how his momma made the best soul food ever, so being the badass roomate that he is, he called his mom right there and then (at around 1 AM lol) and asked her to come to the apartment on friday and make soul food for us and our other two roomates

on the menu so far is fresh baked corn bread, southern style fried chicken, mashed potatos made from scratch with home made gravy, home brewed sweet tea , corn on the cobb, homestyle baked beans, and home made mac n cheese...

definitely cant wait

so how many soul food fans do we have in here? those of us who are southern fanatics will definitely know whats up!

Maybe we should set up something for 4ngiefest. They won't let us bring it into the park, but we could meet somewhere else to eat.

We could bring our own food. There's enough GA people to bring one thing for everyone, I think.

if the turn out is as big as it has been the past couple years, its going to have to be alot of food, it would probably be better to just head to a nice authentic southern restaurant...

or your house
