Powdercoating a supercharger?

A centrifugal supercharger. Just the exterior obviously, I'm sure it can handle the 400 degree baking process and I wouldn't imagine the insulation from the paint would be an issue as no real effective amount of heat would be shed by the casing.

Anyone see any real issues with it, thought about it, or done it?

You're going to have to be super careful doing any work under the hood to keep from scratching it up... assuming you don't destroy the finish when installing it.

I personally wouldn't do it. The coater is probably going to want you to take the blower apart and compromising the seals of the blower isn't exactly a smart thing. You could try to mask things off so you can prevent from having to do that but, why mess with something that works perfectly fine.

If you wanted bling, you should have bought a stereo instead of the supercharger :2cents:
