Are pulled pork sandwiches good?

I can't remember if i've ever had one. Lunch is just a couple hours away and I want something good. There is a local BBQ restaurant that has great food, but I don't know what I want. Is pulled pork good? Should I just order ribs?

The only pork I can tolerate is baby back ribs..

The BBQ sauce has to be excellent though.

Where is this place and is it worth going to? Are you in Glendale?

Should be good as long as it's moist prior to the sauce being added.

Pulled pork FTMFW....

Best way to eat BBQ. Get it "memphis style" - that is, put some cole slaw on top of the pork, add top bun, then eat....

That's why i'm kinda iffy on pulled pork.

I'm in glendale now.. but I need to swing by long beach so I can either go to lucille's down there or zekes up here.

I believe both places serve pulled pork 'memphis style'

Not too many good BBQ places here in LA. You need to be select about where you go because goin somewhere that's bad will scar you.
We have amazing restaurants here.. but not alot of soul food/BBQ style places.

Hmmmm....most places I know make pulled pork out of the shoulder.

The tenderloin generally isnt thick enough to cook long enough and remain moist to pull like a shoulder. I am not a fan of tenderloin or briskett either...but love me some pulled shoulder...

I'm chillin' at home after being on the road for about the past two months. Amazing how much you miss just being about to sit on your own couch and watch football in HD wearing nothing but boxers.

As for the BBQ, yeah there's a real nice spot about 20-30 minutes away. There used to be a pretty good one much closer, but hurricane Katrina took that place out. *Sigh*

Just go grab some kuhnaatz mees and haav from Old Fashion Deli or wherever and xorovatz it yourself with some lavash.

Driving all the way to Long Beach for pork is not something I would do. Lucille's is tempting though.

If you end up in Long Beach scrap Lucille's nasty chain style BBQ and pop into Johnny Reb's, you'll never go back into Lucille's again.
