Personally I would only look at the X5 for the mileage gain, a 335d seems silly to me as the speed and joy of the driving its gas powered equivalent is too fun. Part of the reason I made this thread was to see if anyone was actually interested in the 335d though it will be getting close to 40mpg from real world tests of the engine in europe, driving our 335i I have not seen over 30mpg on any long range trip.
