BMWPILA INSALL DIY NEEDED!! With Business CD

I've searched, but all DIYs were for CD changers,
I need DIY for Stock Head unit.
dose anyone have a good DIY for it?

just installing the BMWPILA? its pretty simple as long as your car was 'prewired for factory cd changer'. open the trunk, pull back the left trunk panel after removing the two plastic retainers...you just look for the wires and plug the bmwpila in. make sure the gray wire is grounded otherwise the RCAs wont work...then just hit the CD button twice on your stereo and the line input RCAs are selected. your car 'thinks' you have a changer, but it just will use the line input from the bmwpila

Well, the pre-wiring for the cd changer added to the short wires on the BMWPILA won't reach to the glove box...prob just to the top back of the trunk. but what you can do is run the RCAs so that they come out in your glovebox....just gotta pop open some panels and run the wires and pop the panels back on...i heard that this step wasn't fun. I plan on running the cables from my BMWPILA to somewhere near the armrest...i'm thinking of putting my mp3 player in the armrest storage and then using the external remote to view the titles etc...its still a work in process


BTW If you want to use the cd changer as well as a BMWPILA you need to run the gray wire to the front as well and hook it up to a switch...then hook the other end of the switch to a ground source. When the wire is grounded, the RCAs are active, when the wire is not grounded, the cd changer is active.
