Get a bently manual. It has a very good guide for pulling the motor. Also, why not put a 328 motor in while you're there. It's plug and play.

Honestly the pull isnt that bad. I recommend taking the hood off as opposed to locking it in the service position. You will need every inch possible. As mentioned before label every plug you pull, and if possible take some pics of the harness routing.
Its open to debate but some of my friends claim that its easier and faster to pull the motor with the tranny, and some say its better without the tranny. i personally do not trust the factory hard points on the motor. With that said i wouldnt pull it with the tranny. Good luck man. If I can get a hold of a scanner Ill scan some of the pages from my bentley manual if you dont allready have one.

We (me+mechanic) pulled the engine with the tranny and the exhaust manifold still attached. We only disconnected the hood from its shocks to allow us to rise it a bit more for clearance.

Honestly I dont think you will need to change too much. i have to do a bit of research to confirm the following, but i believe the engine harness should be the same with all of the wires being the same length. Not sure about the ECU however. You might also have to swap some of the sensors if they have different values or manufacturers so as to mach the setup you had on your previous motor. Again i have to do some research to back that statement up with facts because Im just going off of previous experience.
