That's what I was thinking when I saw that. Unless a lot of flex agent was added, it's going to crack apart. It's pretty terrible. Not only that, but there's more of a chance of the material warping because of its flexibility. That's why OEM plastic is thick and somewhat rigid.

Like kpeng said, if you add flex agents to the paint it would flex with the part. The main idea to make the part so flexible is to allow for an easier installation process and allow the part to take more abuse before it gives out and cracks or breaks. I would rather have to slightly repair and repaint my bumper than have to replace the whole bumper and get the new one painted as well in case of an accident, road debris, etc. It ends up being less expensive in the end which is the whole point!

The parts will not warp as easy as you think. There are some cases where we have parts that come in that were smashed or warped by other parts in the container but we inspect all of our parts before we ship them out to our customers to greatly reduce the chance of a part being defective. And you are very right about how OEM parts are made but that is just the point, they are OEM and we are talking about less expensive AFTER MARKET alternatives here! If someone wants an OEM replacement or OEM factory kit option they will go get one but if they want a custom after market body kit to help set their car's appearance off from the norm then they will go with one of these kits that won't cost them an arm and a leg and will look truly custom to their liking!
