Vacuum suction jet
I know that it uses the venturi effect to creat suction, but why isn't the brake booster plumbed directly to the intake manifold for vacuum??
Why does the M54 have a suction jet where none of the previous motors did?? |

Perhaps, the brakes on the previous models were too soft and instead of sourcing a smaller brake booster, BMW just inserting this venturi valve to reduce vacuum in the brake booster. End result would be stiffer, "sportier" feeling brakes.

question, if one of the tubes connected to this suction jet thing was broken, would it just get rid of the "sportier feel" of the brakes? or...am i in for more trouble
