know what this symbol means ?

Hi guys , as some of you might know both my rear springs were broken so i got some replacements but they have this symbol on them..

any ideas what this means ? visually they look similar to the existing ones on my 320ci.

It's a color coding to help ID the springs during assembly. I believe the corresponding part number for those is 1 095 711 and if you look real close towards the end of the spring you should be able to see it.

What's the color code on the ones you are replacing?

Im not sure havent seen the colour code on them.... do you think it could have some adverse effects if the colour codes are different ? i.e the weight the springs take or something along those lines.

For best results you should match what you've got. Each higher part number on the rear springs is about 2 N/mm stiffer and geets used as axle weight increases by about 50kg. The change is relatively modest in terms of suspension performance, but it will affect your ride height.
