I have a absolutely perfect condition 3.07 differential for sale with 33k miles. I took it off my 2005 ZHP Coupe when I installed my Quaife LSD. This part sells for about $1,200 brand new from BMW if you find it for a good deal. I'm willing to let it go for much less.
Input and output flanges have been removed so that it is ready to go onto any E46 model; 323, 325, 328, or 330. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing. I prefer local pickup but am willing to ship if you are willing to pay the shipping costs + $50 for my time to package it up. For those who are interested... Most shops will charge for 2 hours to have your current diff removed and then have this new one reinstalled. At the shop I use, the total cost was only $190 for a diff swap.

All E46 differentials are swappable but the input and output flanges just differ on many of the models and years which is why it is often times easier to just buy a diff with the flanges already removed so that you can pop yours right in.

It's a feeler, that means you offer me what you want to pay for it. I'll decide if I want to sell.
![]() And yes, it is a OE BMW diff which means that it is open. |

No thanks... It's probably worth about $600 shipped to the right buyer.

$600 is shipped. I figured that out by assuming $500 for the diff and $75 for shipping + $25 for handling. The diff would cost $600 at least from any junk yard and it would be used without a certain history. The really common diffs generally go for $300-400 with low mileage. The 3.07, 3.15, 3.23, 3.38, and 3.64 diffs generally sell for quite a bit more.
I'm offering it for the same price with a verifiable history from a trusted fanatic. This is an awesome diff for someone that wants to build a forced induction 330. BTW, I just checked and your car already comes with this differential . All manual 323s came with a 3.07 final drive: http://www.bokchoys.com/differential/GearRatios.htm

Your stock one would work decently. You'd have a 3.46 final drive which would mean that you'd be spinning at about 4000 RPMs when you're doing 80MPH. Most people prefer a 3.07, 3.23, or a 3.38 on a daily driven 5-speed. Even a 3.38 can be fairly aggressive for a 5-speed.

alright, thanks. yeah, i'm looking to convert and then i'd want a good performance upgrade after that and i noticed the 3.07 drive has the hightest top speed with the chip and intake combo added with it. that would be money well spent in my opinion. problem is i'd have to get the money first, ha, but i'm working on it. thanks for the info though. bump for a great and informed seller!!
