Mod name: painted headlight trim

Mod cost: about $4

Mod benefit: looks great with shadow grills and smoked corners

Mod desc.: remove the headlight trim, light sand, primer, couple of coats of flat black spray paint

I put my winter tires on today, and I said I'd take a picture, so here it is.



I think it's important to put clearcoat on over the stickers because I have no idea how well the adhesive would react to the elements. With the clearcoat, I can't even get a fingernail under the sticker to peel them off if I tried. So they're on there pretty good.

I guess you could do the paint-it-twice routine, but I didn't do it that way.

A lot of people asking 'Will the butterfly valve mod work on this car?'... and the answer is no.

Can you post a list of cars it will/won't work on? I have an '04 320i and an '01 323i... let me know.

look into you exhaust. If u see a circular thing that is most likely open then u have the butterfly valve.
100% sure 330i/ci have it.

It will look like a throttle butterfly valve in one of the exhaust tips. For sure the 330's have them. The default is for it to remain open, so look for an open butterfly flap.

323SEi saloon has the flap.

LED side blinkers to be had for 2.49 each from autolumination.
i've own both these pairs and loved their quality and price.

I can't understand why anyone would pay $30 for a pair of stupid light bulbs. www.autolumination is the way to go.

Interior blue LEDs - $25. Installed 5 years ago and still going strong.

yea the golf tee mod is great but my valve was just stuck open one day u can really telll the diffrenc in idle

Just did this the other day... and makes the front end look 100x better
