fi tuning questions. fuel only computer working with drive by wire?

can you tune one of these cars with something like a megasquirt running fuel only and not mess up the rest of the car too much? does the extra airflow put the factory ecm into default and kill the driveby wire? anything like that?

what are the tuning options for the factory ecm? lets say for a 2001 330. how much do they cost and how much control do you get?

how about if you just want to log some a few things like timing and knock. can you use any obd2 scan/logger like autotap?

You'll need to scale the signal from the MAF. No one has tried a megasquirt that I know of. That's not to say it can't be done, but if I had to wager a guess, I'd say no.

The only tuning options for the stock DME are to get the turbo kit from NickG. I'm sure he won't sell the software seperately.

You can log using VAG-COM.
