question for HPF

So i was thinking, is it possible to get your kit without the race gas option?? I know some of you will probably ask why would i want to do that but i am not looking to get too much power, so i think on pump + meth is good enough for me. Thanks

It's just a switch so you don't really need to run it if you don't want to.

The kit would be the same. The switch changes the tune in the AEM. All the labor and physical components would be the same, so I doubt you would get a price reduction by opting to not have the switch.

Sorry, i have a newbie question. Do we need 3 fuel tanks for HPF turbo kit to work? 91 Octane, methonal, 110 Octane(race fuel?). Don't u guys think it's a lot of trouble to fill up 3 different types of fuel?

you'll have 2 tanks one for methanol and one for petrol.. to change octane u gotta use up whatever u have in your tank first then fill in for example the 110 octane run the car for a bit then turn on the switch.

As said it won't benefit you in anyway to not have the race gas option... Its just a switch... I don't plan on ever running race fuel (though it was fun when it got delivered with it)

I am perfectly happy with Pump+Meth!! Just do what I did and take the key out of the switch and put it on your key chain and you won't ever be tempted to fill up with race fuel and turn it on

I personally wanted the full power the Stage 2 kit offers, but didn't want to have to run race fuel. I have a stage 2.5 kit, which has a built motor and allows me to run only pump fuel, or pump + methanol. The built motor costs extra but the savings vs race fuel plus the convenience made it worth it to me. Also the torque curve on my car is insane.

Thus why you go stage 3 from the getgo

Gas is going down, racefuel is reasonable again! (so I hear anyways

Race fuel hasn't budged in my area

93 is down to $1.89 and race gas (110) is still $7.99!!!!! No way in hell I am going to pay that instead of $38/5 gallon drum of methanol! I can deal with being down 40HP for that price difference

That's because they are still selling it for what they paid for it. Once they go through it and get their next orders in, it will come down.

I figured that... Whats crazy is this gas station is in the middle of the worst ghetto here in WPB and its the only one that sells 110 out of the pump (besides PBIR which is 30 mins away). So I don't see it going down anytime soon as there can't be many people using it!!

I asked an employee there if it ever changes in price and she said not in the year that she worked there
