Steel Gray - Gunmetal, Silver or Polished wheels?

I am ready to get some 19" wheels for my Steel Gray 330ci. I came very close to buying some SSR GT3's, but I'm still leaving my options open. I am also contemplating on HRE's, but the $$$$ issue is a big thing. Brand name does not matter too much to me, I just want a wheel that looks really good on a steel gray E46.
What is your guys opinions on gunmetal or silver or polished finished on a steel gray car?

What wheels would you recommend?
(Not interested in Hamann or ACS - Very nice wheels, just too common IMO)

Thanks,
-Brandon

I wish Mon from DTM didn't have them because it's going to look like I'm trying to copy him. Because I my Reiger M3 bumper will be here Monday and then with the 19" SSR GT3's...we'll be twins!!(But you gotta admit, DAMN sexy twins!)

Thanks,

For me, this is how I would proceed in the decision making process.

1. If I liked a certain wheel, and I believe it will look great on my car, I would get that wheel (pretty elementary, nothing complex).

2. Now if the wheel I like happens to be common, so be it. And if the wheel I like happens to be the case where no one likes them, so be it.

Those are CHs. I'm not aware they come in gunmetal. Custom job, perhaps?

I can understand

I didn't go for 19's because of the NJ roads. Just too many potholes for the amount of driving that I do - I enjoy the backroads too much to worry...

good luck finding the perfect wheel. Just keep weight in mind. Remember wheels are unsprung weight (can kind of be like wearing lead shoes).

The Superlegarra's with Bridgestone SO3s weigh the same as the 17" stock M's with Michelin Pilot Sports

Those OZ wheels aren't bad...but I think they are really overpriced. When I think of "super" high quality wheel, HRE, Fikse, and Kinses go through my mind. The OZs are priced almost as much as those. Aren't they $800+ per wheel? Nice, but not worth it in my opinion.

Thanks,
-Brandon

18" Superleggara's were $350 each at tirerack.com

The 19" 3-piece Superleggara's are like $820.

Yeah, it must have been the 19" 3-piece I saw.

$350 is a good deal for the 18's though.
