Sticky accelerator? I have a 2001 325ci

I'm not sure what is meant by sticky accelerator. On mine, you press the gas and there's not much peddle resistance since it's throttle by wire. I can press the peddle as quickly or as possible and if I press to the point before kickdown or press all the way to kickdown, I get the same amount of power. Also there seems to be a plateau of sorts in the accelerator. At a certain level, the acceleration will be exactly the same. I also have problems when it's in third and fourth gear that it won't downshift all the time (I really need to take the car in but I know they will say they found no probs) There's a very noticable throttle delay also.

So can someone define "sticky gas peddle" for me and if my desciption fits so when I take it in I know what to tell them.
