Need ContiSportContact 225/45ZR17 Tires?
I have a set of ContiSportContact 225/45ZR17 tires that came on my "new" 2002 325i sedan (just bought it). I live in maryland and this is going to be my wife's daily driver- so I needed to install a set of all season tires so she can drive safely to work this winter.
My Z3 roadster has the same tires- but I only have 16" wheels on it!
So, I'm at a loss for what to do with them. I ran them on the 325i for two weeks and the tires run great. There are no patches/bubbles/damage of any kind. But, we plan to use this car in snow.
The front tires I pulled off the 325i has 90% of the tread left, the rear's have about 70%+ left on them. I was thinking of just keeping one of the rear tires as my spare since I also just figured out that I can't use the Michelin Pilot AS+'s as a spare- they are directional tires and if I get a flat on the wrong side of the car- then I would be forced to run it backwards...
My thought was that someone might want a pair of almost new tires 90% and perhaps someone is looking for a single tire for spare?
Let me know if anyone out there has any interest. The previous owner just put these tires on and they are really in great shape.
I was thinking of asking $150 for the front pair, and $60 for the rear tire. These tires sell on Tirerack.com for $176 each. Shipping would be extra, and local delivery/pickup is possible to the MD/VA/DC/NJ/NY area.
I have tons of photos of the tires and photos of the tread depth on my web site: http://www.p385.com/Bailey/images/Tires/web/index.htm
