V-maxx coilover experience!!!
just wanted to share my experience of the V-maxx coilover kit with everyone that likes or dislikes of the kit. I have 2 buddies with this coilover kit on their VWs and they have been running 2+ yrs. with no blown shocks or anything bad. I just got mine in 3 days ago and installed it on my car the same day. First, the packaging job is top notch all parts were wraped and in boxes so they don't get scratch or bend and etc... Second, the quality of the parts are very nice and powder coated. the strut is beefy and feels very strong. Third, the installation was a breeze. everything bolted up nice and smooth. Finally, the ride quality.... the ride is not any different than my tein springs, maybe alittle stiffer. it's stiff enough for people to know i have a coilover installed and not feel like a track car. I, however didn't like the rear when i dropped it all the way. it was not low enough for the tires to tuck under the fender so, i decided to go perchless and now.... it's perfect!!! If the springs in the rear settales and sits lower ,then i will reinstall the perches. Long story short, the price + the quality of this kit = no complain and i am a happy mofo! ohohoh.... and i purchased this from stratmosphere.com the guys there are very nice and won't force you to buy there products or hot sell it! pictures will be up as soon as my sister brings my camera back from her vacation.

Hello, I'm glad to hear that your experiences with this kit have been positive. I ordered the same kit and tried to install it this evening. The rears went in ok, but the fronts are rubbing against the inside of the tire. Did you happen to have similar issues? If so how did you correct them?
I agree with you that the kit is well put together, and the price certainly can't be beat. I can't wait to get my car rolling again!

spacers will fix that. Please update this when you get to the 10000 mile mark.

I'm curious if you have any experience with other coilover kits?
Have you ever ran anything by KW, H&R, Bilstein, Koni, etc?

Took the car for a drive, and what a difference! It is not bouncy at all, and it feels much more confident when executing any maneuver. The ride is very comfortable when sitting in the front, but when sitting in the rear it's a little rough (fortunately I'll never have to sit back there). I will certainly update this thread as I put some miles on the kit. I drive a ton, so I will probably hit that mark in less then three months . If these things hold up, they could prove to be an excellent value.

i have ran HKS Hyper, Tein SS, and JIC. now... i know V-maxx is not the greatest but you can't beat the price. i payed $445 shipped to my door and the quality is like the Tein basics.

I can probably take a picture of mine tomorrow. I currently have it adjusted to stock height though.
