Anyone else not happy with the sound quality of ipod/mp3s used with BMWPILA?
i just installed this today and about 50% of the songs sound like crap. songs are coming out garbled and distorted.
i have the bmwpila connected through the prewired cd changer things, the grey wire grounded and rca/mini adapter connected to my ipod. i'm currently listening to my ipod through my home system and the songs are way better. so i've come to the conclusion that my bmwpila sucks. anyone know if there are different types of bmwpila or if i'm completely missing something here??? btw, i got mine from sounddomain.com for like 89 bucks. thanks in advance.

I haven't heard of anyone else disappointed. Personally i think mine sounds just as good if not better than CD cause it seems to provide a fuller and deeper sound in my car.
Try burning an original CD to your iPod so you can compare the iPod to the CD in both the home stereo and car stereo. Burn it at the highest possible quality in MP3 or AAC if you have a mac. and set your iPod volume to a bit more than 3/4ths of the way up. If on the home stereo i find it to work best with the iPod EQ set at trebble boost & if i am using it in the car i find it to work best with the iPod set at flat. With these settings you shouldn't be able to tell the diff between iPod and CD. |
