Question tapping into sunroof power for PocketPC?

I currently have my V1 hardwired to the sunroof wiring harness and it works great, I followed the DIY on this board. Now I'm thinking of powering my iPaq and mouting it to the windshield for GPS nav using Destinator (has cool 3d maps).

Is there a way to tap into the same juice my V1 is using? Would I just wire the cigarette-lighter adapter to it in parallel and stuff it inside the sunroof trim?

the key thing is that I want the power to be switched like my V1, I don't want the pocketpc draining my battery while car is parked overnight, etc. and I forget to turn off the iPaq. I also don't want the wires sticking all the way up from the cigarette plug at the bottom of the console all he way to the windshield to reach the iPaq.

i have an ipaq with the destinator software. I mount my ipaq to the air vent. I don't leave it in the car when I leave though I take it with me, it's just to noticable.
