I imagine the glass packs would muffle more than the resonators but i may be wrong

A racing cat then.
Seriously though. Taking your cats out is not making your car faster most of the time. Flooring it above 5 or 6K sure. Driving around town the torque sacrificed along with the power curve moving east means it's a touch slower...

ANy recomendations? Also the cats come off my car as soon as you remove the OEM headers

E46 330ci has in header Cats? I thought only the E46 M3 was like that.
Random Technologies makes nice cats. Little pricey but very nice. What size piping do you have? Some guys have good luck with some of the eBay 'racing' cats. Very high flow but at least clean it up a little bit.
