Simple exhaust question
Currently I have OEM headers, no resonators, and a 330i ZHP muffler. Sounds good with very little rasp (being held in by the cats I presume). If I were to put on eBay headers which disregard the cats, would adding the second resonator to my current setup decrease the rasp? I know other ways to reduce it, but I want to know what you think about this setup.

If you want to get rid of rasp, I would suggest starting at the back (muffler). What i mean by this is that you put back in your resonators, leave in the oem headers, and put in an aftermarket exhaust. See what you think of the sound and go from there. If, after doing so, you want more volume, throw in headers while leaving in the resonators.
As for an exhaust, TSE3 would make for a great tone

I don't have rasp now but when I put my headers on I will. I've heard my car with the rear resonator in place and the ZHP muffler after it though, just not with eBay headers which is my concern. I'm going for a little more volume but more aggressive as well.
I only have one resonator, and also I'm not looking into buying a new exhaust. |
