looking at the S5 i would agree, but even the Audi looks like it wants to be a BMW, point of the story, E46 is a beautiful model, E9x not so much

I never really liked Bangle that much until I read the book "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand. As a fellow designer, I respect his vision and dedication.

So now that Bangle is gone....What is happening with the Gina Light concept??

Nope, the new z4 points to the direction where the 3 series is heading. It is going back to being a man's car with oozing testosterone. This shark face with down's syndrome will never see the light of day, I reckon.

Is that how you really define the Z4/3-series? I don't view any non-///M BMW as anything with oozing testosterone.

I just don't find the E92 M3 oozzes anything. On the other hand even a 1.6 litre Z4, if it exists, in this guise would ooze plenty for me. I have not seen the new design for Z3. If it resembles the Z4, I can imagine it too would ooze.

I actually liked the new 6 series and 1 series though. He didn't screw everything up.

The front end of the new Z is quite tasteful when compared to the previous Z4. The designs on the horizon aren't that aggressive to me however. I can't wait to see how the new ///M coupe will look.

1 series and Z4 are nice. The new cars look too big and spacious and not all that driver oriented. They kinda look like theyre bloated

I'd just say that the 5ers need a re-styling. Flame surfacing just does not do it for me, any for a lot of people fyi. With the design styling of the Concept CS being greatly successful; the future for BMW looks bright, especially if the same design lines are immersed or manipulated in future designs. From seeing the very first glimpses of the front-end of the new 5 series; I'm starting to feel a very positive vibe.

THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY THIS GUY IS LEAVING!!! He made a mess of the BMW design, he fudged up pretty much everything he touched. Perhaps I'll reconsider a fourth BMW if I could find a good dealer (remarkably the most difficult part of the equation in this part of the country).

Bangle had some interesting ideas at a time when bimmers were starting to look over-conservative. Just pushed it a bit with all that 'flame surfacing', which looks overdesigned in most cases, therefore a bit naff.

I am very pleased to know about this. Specially because those "The BMW 6 Series and 7 Series lines clearly bear the hallmark of van Hooydonk's design influence, as do the Z9 Concept Car, the BMW Concept CS (unveiled in 2007) and the M1 Hommage Study." Although one must wonder if he really had power over 6 series, because in my books it still looks a bit crap.

AUDI HIRED PINFARINA FROM ITALY, R8-R10 ARE BASICALLY AN ITALIAN SPORTCARS WITH A GERMAN MOTOR.

Which is genius. Like Mini Cooper design in UK, but BMW power and they wised up and did a turbo instead and made more hp than a SC.

Those Supercharger guys are eating their words when they bagged on my 944T 10yrs ago, turbo is the trend, its free energy, sucks a little more gas though.

I like most of "bangle's" cars. Even the bangle but 745il which I would love to own and maybe will one day. The new M3's bumpers are horrible however. Maybe it's only me but the bumpers look like a cheap body kit youd see on a hyundai tiburon. Very shark-esque.
