Need help fixing, or tricking my radio into working

So I am having a problem with my factory radio, it wont turn on, but the security light blinks and if you turn on the headlights the illumination works and all of the fuses are good. I've determined it to be a problem with the switched + (purple & white) I spliced a wire into it, and stuck it in the cigarette lighter and it works. I was also having an issue with my visor mirror lights too, they both didnt work, and if you opened them a green warning light would come on on the dash as well as a tail light warning. If you closed the mirror, the airbag light would flicker faintly. When I stuck the wire spliced to the radio in the cigarette lighter it took care of all of these problems! However, my odometer lights then stayed on and my door locks didn't work. So what i'm wondering, is if anyone knows what the problem might be? Is there a relay somewhere that could be causing this? do you think i could just splice the radio switched + into say the switched + for the climate control? any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nick
