The ability to switch your source (MODE)-AM radio/FM radio-CD-tape etc. depends on your setup

Don't know about the dice set-up, but I have my Sirius Satellite controller hooked through the optional auxilliary cable that plugs right in the back of the business radio. I use the mode button to move through radio, cd, aux.

I'm not sure why - it plays no part in compatibility when referring to a DICE kit.

There's no need to upgrade the radio if using the DICE kit. The DICE kits work with radios quipped with either a MODE or CD button.

Other than the post 9/2002 having Sirius receiver and AUX compatibility (available seperately), there is no difference.
