2 HIDs kit 6000k - difrent color?

i've got hid kit 6000k, in my main beams and in my fog lights. they both appear the same colour up close, but the other day, my friend was driving my car and as he was pulling up i noticed the main beams appear to be more blue tint and the fog lights appear to have more white look

there both defo 6000k - i was hopin for color match using same color temp but havnt acheived this - is this normal with HID in fogs not to appear as bright or as blueish?

A good way to check the proper colour is to use a blank sheet of paper as a reflector.. That should show the blue if there is any. Obv check one set of lights at a time!!

Are they two different HID kits? Could be a question of quality or bulb type as one is H7 and the other is 9006?

Or it could be just the angles your mate was looking at them...

there def both 6000k was double checked when got the kit

yeah H7 for the main beams and 9006 for the fogs - but i though even though its a difrent type of bulb fitting but would emit the same colour due to both being 6000k, have checked out up difrent anges - fogs are defo more white. and main beams are more blue....

anyone got same color temp of HID in the fogs as there beams???

Are they the same make kit? Cheapy Ebay ones will generally not be the same quality (even thought they say 6000k) as some of the proper parts shops like JLevi and Khoalty...

they are off ebay - but not cheap like the hong kong ones - there priced mid ranged...

It's a housing issue. Different housings give off different light output.
It doesn't matter the kit or where it is made.
If you put a 6K in a low beam projector it will look different than a high beam reflector than a fog light reflector than a fog light projector.
