So the 'Professional' has a more complex display, more EQ options and better amp - got there in the end!
I think the US got amps as standard regardless of Head Unit - for some reason in Europe we get standard junk. BMW knows Americans won't put up with weak audio given the ICE culture there and lesser manufactures all having pretty decent set-ups. |

I have a weird annoying problem with this Pro-CD unit now. Around the halfway mark, the bass gets cut.So below a certain point, the bass is there with a thick muscular sound. If I kick the volume up using the knob or steering wheel, the bass cuts out. Sound quality is still good but a thinner sound. It's really annoying.
It also happens when if I hot a bump in the road but rarely-leading me to believe there's loose wiring somewhere? Happens with CD and Radio. I have a Parrot Bluetooth and Steering Wheel adapter fitted but it did this before I fitted that. Seems to have gotten worse recently. Any tips? These units are really great and have superb sound quality so I'd like to get it fixed... |

I think that's answered in the previous posts. Trying to figure out this bass/volume issue. Last edited by royalratch; 04-06-2009 at 09:04 AM. |
