where did you guys get the sender that threads into the drain plug hole? what size is it and how much did it run you?

i got mine from leatherz.com and it came with the sender.

The leatherZ kit taps into the back of the oil filter housing. There are pros and cons. Pro being it reads the same place where the factory oil pressure is located. Con being that the vdo kit sender is way too big and that space is way too tight. Go for an Autometer, Defi or Greddy and you will get a 1/8 npt sender. More compact sender.

The drain plug is where I mount mine. The plug is M12x1.5 and there are adapters sold by Autometer or egauges that allow a M12 to 1/8npt.

Are they the exact same kit that leatherz has? Bavauto VDO guages are cheaper. I wonder if the illumination is the same as leatherz. I lioke to keep everything amber - leatherz states only thier kit is amber.

Those are some ugly gauges! I wish EAS would make some gauges like they did for the E9x M3 series.

F yeah . those gauges and the position they're in makes me think they're not even worth $100.

What about a AEM gauge along with an A-pillar mount , or a holder on the dash ?

It looks alot better than that ^^

They are good looking for stock. No ricey Defi like gauges.
