Which comps with my amp....
Just was going though my pile of audio stuff and found another amp.
It's an alpine mrp-250 40x4 or 100x2 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-glx3YTr...-MRP-F250.html Going to add comps to the front of my HK coupe, with an amp. I've had these pioneer tsd 702c before. (kevlar 6.5s) I liked them. http://www.woofersetc.com/p6598/TSD7...ent-System.htm Heard lots of good things about the rsd phoenix gold on a budget (but maybe a little power hungry for my amp) http://www.woofersetc.com/p6952/RSD6...ent-System.htm And have lots of good press here on the cdt, generally higher end stuff, but keeping it at about 100 bucks... http://www.woofersetc.com/p5207/CLS6...t-Speakers.htm #1 I'm looking for a brighter sound, and more crisp. I listen to mainly rock. I have the pioneer tsds in my M3 vert and had them in my sedan. I'm just wondering if i can save a few bucks on the pg rsds, or just want to try the cdts. I'm not very fickle about my sound, however kicker and MB quart from previous were a little harsh for my liking. #2 With my amp, bridge the amp and use the passive crossover or just bi amp the components? Thanks in advance. I'm just most likely going to keep this a simple upgrade with components up front and stock everything in the rear. Joe

Audition the speakers and pick based on what sounds best to you.
With that little amount of power, you would better benefit by bridging the amp and using the passive crossovers that comes with the components + the amp's on-board high-pass to block midbass. |

that's what i figured on the amp.
i ended up ordering the cdts. Had ebay 8% off so, were 92 shipped. I couldn't find them local to audition so i'll just audition them in my car. If I dont' like them i can always go back to the pioneers. The pg rsds are 3" deep so i'd need to cut out my doors, that canceled that however they are only 70 bucks shipped on ebay right now, pretty good deal, but too much work for me. Joe
