FS: H&R Sport Springs - Less than 5K miles

SOLD

Installed PSS9's this weekend and took off my H&R sport springs. I bought these springs brand new in July 2008 and have put on less than 5k miles (weekend driver). There is nothing wrong with these springs at all other than some cosmetic blemishes/scrapes from when I installed them last year.

The springs themselves gave me a smooth ride and a nice drop when coupled with Bilstein Sport shocks and struts. I was able to get over all speed bumps in my area without a problem as long as I went over them carefully.

Asking $175 picked up - i'm on Long Island. Will ship at buyer's expense.

Here are some pics I just took:

I wish I had taken a photo of the wheel gap since I do not have one right now. It eliminated almost all of the wheel gap up front to the point where I don't think I could get 1 finger in above the tire going in at a 90 degree angle. Basically, it lowered the car really well without giving it the disadvantages of being slammed. This was with Bilsteins and things may differ with whatever shocks you're running depending on how the front perch is situated.

There is no difference between sport springs for cars with or without the sport package. All the part numbers are just for H&R's inventory purposes. See this thread:

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=531651

There is a potential buyer right now, but nothing is final yet.

ok no offense to you but if i made a thread saying there IS a difference.....then its a stalemate. Id like a bit more proof then a random thread with unverified information thats two years old. Ya know?

part numbers for HR race(non spt pkg) is same as HR Sport(spt pkg)....that seems odd that it would be only for inventory?

any free bump good luck on your potential sale

I can see why you're skeptical. They probably do not market race springs to the non-sport cars because the dampers would be blown in no time.

In the end, the same set of springs on a non-sport and sport car would sit identically as long as they were both on low-pressure dampers.

What about spring rates? Let me clarify my post by saying that two E46's (sport and non-sport) on the same springs with the same spring rates will sit exactly the same.

but using the same exact springs? sorry im skeptical about that. id like to see some real info about this. otherwise i cant believe HR would make springs for sport/non sport and they be the same. doesnt make any sense.

did your sale go through?
