replacing speakers will deffinetly improve your listening speakers. As you know the speakers are, after all, the devices that bring all of what your audio system can do to your ears.

Read this thread,http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...+speakers+need at start from there. Do a couple of searches also.

If you decide to upgrade but are going more than direct swap there is also lots of info and DIYs that can guide all the way through the process.

Best of lucks!

You can definitely plug and play while dramatically increasing sound quality. Talk to some vendors or online and get the sizes that match your individual speakers, and pick the speakers that are in your budget and your audiophile sense.

I just got the BSW speakers to replace my HK components in my 330i and the difference is amazing. I highly recommend them.

I had a set of the JL Audio stealth boxes with a JL amp already installed and in my opinion to really achieve good sound you do need some added bass. However, you can do it in stages and the BSW replacement speakers may be enough for you.

As to installation--it looked easy but I had my installer take care of it for me. I paid him $65 to install them for me verses spending 3 hours of my time to do it my self. The install seemed easy for him.
