I for one am happy to see lower curb weights, F/I and better emissions/ efficiency!! And for those scoffers who want to go to Lexus and Mercedes...good luck, they are doing the exact same thing. Regulations and the price of gas is pushing this trend....automakers aren't doing this "just because." And for damn sure BMW knows what they are doing when it comes to lowering weight, improving driving dynamics, and increasing performance. I for one Can't Wait!

Just out of curiosity, what makes you say that? What are the biggest drawbacks of a V6?

Keep in mind though, that the same thing happened when BMW came out with the twin turboed I6. Every forum had threads about how BMW was going away from their game, yet today, it is considered one of the very best engines available right now.
