Most people do. It seems like the only ones that don't are the current Z4 owners. Either way, I'd love to have either one, it would be an amazing weekend car.

Btw, it is priced as it is because they are making room for the Z2

I don't think that's a surprise - the new Z4 goes in a completely different direction than the old, from somewhat minimalist sports car to loaded luxury cruiser. I like the new one, especially in black, but I wouldn't buy one for pretty much the same reasons I didn't buy an SLK last time around.

Seems like the pricing opened up a segment for a lower priced roadster, maybe a Z1 or something.

that z4 is the sexiest thing i've ever seen. i priced one out @ 56k and change.

dinan offers a chip for $2000 that puts it at 384hp and 421 torque. you can get it up to 400/430 with other goodies.

400 monster hardtop roadster, with warranty and maint. for 5 years for 56k? that sounds like a serious car to me. the Z8 was 400hp and $128k and that was considered fair.

man... i know some of you have mentioned it already but.. can I just bring up the price again?

I dont know.. I'm sure there are people out there who would buy that thing with pocket change but I would spend my 60K elsewhere...

comparing new car prices to used ones + mod is a weird anology but can anyone say mint e46+hpf?

You think someone looking for a E89 Z4 would also consider a turbocharged E46 M3? That's like saying someone should cross-shop the 750i with the Lotus Exige S!
